Pepperoni Sausage

Christian had his second piano lesson last Saturday (Jan. 12).  Mark took Christian to his first lesson, so I was not sure what to expect.  We try and practice daily with Christian, but sometimes, it is very quick (2 minutes) before he wants to bow and end his lesson.  He created a new bow where he puts his head all the way down on the floor like a praying monk.  He also wanted to change the words of his song from pepperoni pizza to pepperoni sausage.  At the lesson, Christian listened very well to Ms. Marissa and played pepperoni sausage a few times.  I was really proud of him as I was not sure if he could sit through his whole lesson, but he did.  We also stayed another half hour to watch a 4 year old student play.  Suzuki method believes in observing other children play and after staying to watch the 4 year old, I understood where he was coming from.  I think the observation time will be just as valuable as the playing time for Christian.  We will go get a notebook to jot down notes from our lesson.  Christian is excited about being able to decorate it with stickers- - cars of course.
